Towards the end of July is the time where we see the heat not tapering off, sudden wildfires, and nighttime temperatures never getting much below the upper 60’s. It’s been a week of 100’s, and there are thunder-bumpers massed along the spine of the high Sierras, providing “interesting” weather for hikers and campers in the High Country, and easily visible from our upland elevation – and then there’s August, which is often warmer.
Finally dropped out of the 100+ today, but still no rain. Humidity
is around 10-16% sigh…

That’s pretty moderate humidity! Don’t you Texans get rain during the summer, sometimes too much?

I’ll tolerate the heat (and the almost unbearable humidity) so long as we get some rain.
Spotty toad-stranglers are all we’ve seen for six weeks.

Rain? What’s that? It will rain in October sometime…humidity is like 20%.

So nice to be out of Cali, the heat & BS. It has been warm here, 90’s, but nothing like RB’s 111, plus we get a breeze off the river in the evening!

RB is like the NorCal heatsink! We’re doing ok with just the 100’s at this altitude, it’s a dry heat!
