Dry as a week old biscuit

Cold in the high 20’s this morning and the lined Carhartt jeans are doing a good job – while some early snow sustains the Sierras, what moisture exists here on the Western Slope is only as frost on the ground. December has been an unusually dry month.

  1. Looks about the same here. We’ve only had had three snows since October, totaling maybe 9″.

Sure hope we get more snow. I’m shifting to different concerns about the weather than I had in SoCal. Now I worry that we have enough moisture in the soil so spring planting is successful.
