Somehow I think I’ve seen this movie before, the one with the never-ending big black boot stomping down, and there’s no fried-chicken dinner with biscuits and gravy with this guy. It’s a sad state of affairs when a human locust such as this is advocating for a leadership role.

Agreed, basic human nature doesn’t change.
But the existence of modern technology (virtually unlimited powers of travel, communications, surveillance & information storage) and the very-real specter of a “1984” world, is new.
Orwell was prescient. Huxley even more so.
